Treating A Teacher To A THANK YOU!

 You get those few moments in your life... when a parent just reaches out and give you a handful of LOVE! :) I tend to get those moments more than a few times. I often find myself overly spoiled by the parents in my classroom. They always remember to say Thank You...and remind me every now and than that although I demand a lot and can be a pain in the bottom.. I am doing a good job in teaching their children! How awesome are some of these TREATS!

Hammond Wedding!

Ms. Holly and I have known one another for a little over 2 years now! I have come to see her grow in those two years into an amazing teacher, professional and friend. Over the course of those years we celebrated so many accomplishments together. Last year she asked me to be one of her Maid of Honors in her up and coming wedding! I gladly said "YES" and than realized that I would be a big eight and a half month prego at this wedding! It truly did not change my outlook but moving became slow and swelling became an issue a week before the wedding. Not to mention the dress was a big issue as well.. zippers did not go up more down.. pray for me and HER..

The ladies we work with.. we drive one another crazy.. but that is what happens when you are family!

After a long night of dancing, smile and a sonic pit stop.. I came home to this all put up as a surprise! It was purchased by our aunt on vacation and Mike finally had time to put it in her ROOM!

Crafty-Ness for the Bride! Her bridal First Aid Kit! It held all the last min. things a bride would need JUST IN CASE!

None the less.. her wedding day was amazing. Ryan and Holly are on a journey to MILITARY LIFE as Mr. & Mrs. Which I am sure the calling will never end because.... we who are military know that .. life is not always pretty on the Military End! I wish them the best of LUCK in all they do TOGETHER..

Weekend .. Weekend!

We have been getting things in order for the NEW YEAR.. although the New Year has passed we still have the month on January. This weekend we organized the storage unit, cleaned the house, and we are aiming for the office/crafting room to get done THIS WEEK!

Here is my crafting part half organized!

 In the middle of it all I got mail.. YAY, and Mike and I were able to stop to GRILL OUT for the playoff games! (GO PACK GO).

Cute goodies! To help me with 2011!

 During our grill out I made homemade SALSA!!! Whoo me right? I have been wanting to learn how to make it for a long time.. and finally ran into a good website from a fellow blogging friend! It was a hit my husband loved it .. and I happen to take some for my lunch at work and my prego friend Sara ate it all haha! I was way proud and excited! I need to "THANK" Rebekah! Christmas Cards!

Oh what a task! 

I had over 120 to send out and that meant 120 address to get in order! 

and there are all the cards laying out to be labeled!

I used the computer to print out labels which made it was easier then writing them all out!

I purchased my cards with VISTAPRINT! If you have not heard of them search it 100 postcards that I decorated for $7.99 and they printed out our address on the top of each one which was less work for me. I love them I used them last year for my cards and I was impressed. 

They are simple and cute! 

Now my rant.. will they STOP raising the price of postage... I paid almost $50.00 to mail them all out! A bridie at the post office told me on Jan. 15. 2011 they will be raising the prices once again! GRRR

Being A Teacher.. Means Being Crafty!

This was the season for me to be crafty on a budget!

With 36 children and 12 other teachers to buy for the HOLIDAYS! 

So.. crafty I was.. here are a few pictures of some of the things I was able to make with the help of a few children and myself!

Cookies in a JAR!!! What a bargain I got the jars for 10 cents each!

Ornaments for the children to give their parents out of their hands and feet!

These are the bags I made for the 4 children in my afternoon class! I used stamps, circuit, glitter paint, and markers!

I collected these as gifts for the 4 children all under 10 dollars!

The children made the reindeer food and I scraped this for them!

I had keys donated for ACE HARDWARE and made Santa's Magic key for them!

They also painted bags and ornaments for their parents and I managed to make 30 small candy bags for under 10 dollars!

I would have to say I had tons of fun getting everything in order and making the items that I did with the children in my classroom! The holidays are around the corner and I hope that they all love their items from their children and I!

Crafty I Am..

I finally got some time to be crafty.. and it was nice sitting in my craft chair working on this ....

We have no plans at all other then to RELAX.. we hope!

Next week begins a busy week once again with Mike headed to ALS for 6 weeks and me going into full swing teaching at two schools, and going to school.

So we are going to try to get the apt. in order and just hang!

On a different note.

I have been making some crafty things!

Bows out of uniforms. Since I had jackets left with no buttons I was trying to think of what to do with them for A Touch Of A Hero.. and here is what I came up with! CUTE!!!

A Busy Weekend.

It has been!

After all my waiting Mike finally made it home on Thursday night at 3am! He walked into the apartment and scared me while I was sleeping!!!

I did not get to start the weekend until Saturday at noon!

I had college class' and orientation for my Pre-K kids for the this year.

So when noon hit.. I said YAY weekend!!! Even tho I had some house work and other things to get done!

We had tons of rain so it kept the Mr and I locked in for most of the weekend!

So let me share a few things..

A MUST READ!

I am in love and excited to see the MOVIE!!! I know it came out a while ago.. but a few months back for my birthday I got this book in the mail from my sister. I was stuck on a series and I am finally done with that series so I started it. It is a cute love story! However you do need to pay attention close when reading it jumps around alot.

I also was able to get crafty this weekend..

Since I am a teacher I needed to make a new name tag, last year mine got left out in the rain on the last day of school GRRR.. so I got crafty and made mine and a few for the other teachers I work with!

and lastly.. I did get to do one of my favorite things! BAKE!!

The week starts TMRW! Ahhh the I always think we should all get three day weekends.. because Mondays are always WEIRD!! I hope the week start off with a bang for all of you!

A Crafty Day..

Yay Friday!

I did alot today...It's been nice to have a day off of work and my husband got out of work early as well..

I met a friend at the mall to do some quick shopping then we got lunch at Chilli's. After that I got crafty I headed to Jo Ann's and Ac Moore to pick up some last min scrapbooking supplies and extra stuff for some ribbion's and bow's I am making to take with me on my trip to visit my familia in HOLLAND MICHIGAN!
