1. How long have you been a military wife?

-Today makes 3 WHOLE YEARS!

2. What branch of service is your husband?
-U.S Air Force Special Operations!

3. Active/Reserve?
-Active Duty and PROOD!

4. What is his job?
-Hyro on C-130's!

5. How many deployments have you gone through?
-One long one and many TDY's that should have been counted as DEPLOYMENTS :)


6. Camo or Dress uniforms on your man?
-I love the way he looks in both! However I do love his ABU's.. and sadly I like going out with him in them..

7. What do you like about being a military wife?
-I would have to say there are a TON of things I love about being a Military Wife! I am proud of my husband.. I am proud of being apart of something so much more then the normal! He works very hard for his family and country!

8. Do you live on base?
-We have ALWAYS lived Off Base.. I am not going to lie .. I really love living off base. I am sure if we PCSed overseas we would try to live on base.. but for not OFF IS HOW WE ROLL!

9. What is your favorite base so far?
-Well.. we have been LUCKY.. we have been stationed here at Hurlburt Field, FL for about 4-5 years and we really love the COSTAL lifestyle!

10. What is the hardest part of the military life?
-Being away from HOME.. real home like were all your family is.. somehow you do it .. but deep down you miss it.

11. Do you go to the grocery store or Commissary?
-WALMART!!! haha! I know I know.. most would say different but it works for my liffle family!

12. Do you work or stay at home?
-I am a working SOUL! I have two teaching jobs and go to school full time. I love it.. it is a busy lifestyle but we at the moment do not have little ones and I am a able body to help make money for us until then! :)

13. Do you have a lot of military wife friends?
-NO I DO NOT! I have a ton of blog friends who are Military Wifes. I also have a ton of friends from working. I am not quiet sure how there is always drama around wives in the Military it is sad..but not for me!

14. Do you prefer Walmart or the BX/PX/NEX/MCX?
-Walmart.. I drift on base once in a while just to random shop.

15. How did your husband propose?
-GREEN BAY PACKERS!!! All I can say ... ;)

16. Did you marry him after he joined or before?
-After, we were always friends and then one day .. it happened he joined and life moved on in different directions. We met back up and I became a WIFE!

17. How long have you been together?
AUG. 2007!

18. Any kids?
-NONE but we are god-parents! Two little girls hold our hearts!

19. Any kids yet to come?
-We will see... you might have to stay tuned!

20. Is your husband one of those "I am soldier hear me HOOAH" kind of guys?
-NO! He is a very hardworker and proud!

21. Have you ever done combatives with your husband?
-NO WAY! haha!

22. How many bases have you lived at?
-ONE! He has been at ... two others I would say..

23. If you could change one thing about the military?
-TIME FRAMES and Organization of things within..


24. Do you like military balls?
-We do not have them often.. so I would like to if they ever did have one!


25. Where does your family live?
-WISCONSIN AND MICHIGAN!!! :)

26. What do you do for a job?
-I am a teacher to the next generation!

27. Have you ever gotten in a fight with an NCO's wife?
-NOT MY GAME!

28. Name one thing you do when your husband is gone.
-Crafty-ness!

29. Do you think other wives do that too?
-Stay busy!

What In A Name!

How did you parents decide on your name?

I was suppose to be a VERONICA I was once told. My dad is the person who named me and he wanted to give me a name that could not be made fun of..for MONICA became the name!

Do your initials (first/middle/last) spell anything funny?

Well I went from MA to MAH... I don't think it does spell anything funny. However maybe someone else thinks different then me.


Did you take your middle name from childhood or did you drop your middle name and take your maiden name as your middle name? (Or if unmarried, what do you plan to do?)

I never had a middle name and I LOVE MY MAIDEN name! So I just attached it to my husbands last name! He was very okay with doing it and were planning to have out kids have both last names as well!

Are you or will you name your children systematically (ie, same first letter, same origin, etc?)

Hmm.. No. I think we have the most random names for our future children picked out. ha! I am not sure I could stick in once letter of ect..

Did you decide on names as a little girl? Did you stick to them or change your mind?

I don't think I decided on names when I was younger. I don't have children yet either.. I know we do have our daughters name in stone except for the middle name .. we keep re thinking it.


Does your family have any names that have been passed down through generations?

Yes! SAUL... my grandpa, dad , brother, I have a cousin with the middle name as well. I love the name but I am not sure if I will be naming my son that name because I am thinking of crazy names!

Do you look at the meaning of the name or just the name itself?

I would have to say the names always have to have some meaning to me. As for MEANING MEANING.. no not really!

Do you name pet names with human names or dog names?

I don't think I have named a dog with a human name. AMIGO was my last dog and that is not a human name.. haha!

Are there any names that you have an affinity or dislike for based on a childhood experience or someone you once knew?

No I really do not think so... I hear a ton of names.. but none that I dislike!

What are some of your favorite names and why?

I love MAY.. I am not sure combined with another name or as a middle name!

Wow ME!?

-The story of my ring is a BIT crazy! So here we go..



This is my PAST, PRESENT, FUTURE.. ring! I was propsed to on Nov. 23.07'. My ring is from WISCONSIN  where the Mr. proposed!



We got married on April, 4, 08' and this band was added! This band is from FLORIDA where we got married!



After being together a year this band was added! It is from MICHIGAN!



This is my RING TODAY!!! After a year being married I was given the last band to my ring!

My ring just grew over time.. and I never thought it would be this way but my Mr. kept surprising me with bands!



Did you look at rings together?

We looked at a few over the internet because we were ALWAYS apart but I did not have in mind the one I got! I love it and it is very special to me!

Do you like your ring? Did you from the beginning?...and be honest!

YES! It is my most expensive piece! I was instantly IN LOVE!

How often do you wear your rings?

Everyday! We just had an issue with it getting to tight on my finger.. and I needed to get it resized!

Do you clean your rings?

Yes! I clean them often maybe twice a month! I also get all my bands checked out every 6 months! Each piece of my ring is from KAY JEWLERS! They are AMAZING!

What went through your mind the very first time you saw your ring?

I am getting MARRIED!!! With each band I always cryed because my ring just kept getting BIGGER! :)

My Little Life With A V-Log!

Oh.. life has been a bit to crazy. That is why there has been a lack of posting but I promise to get on it SOON! My Spring semester of college is under-way and I became a FULL TIME STUDENT with a FULL TIME JOB (two jobs daily that make it full, and I have had them all year tho..)! Why can't I say no.. Why do I always want so much more! So my weekends are spend with school and a book in my hand. The great news is I will have my DEGREE by the summer. I am sure there is a a light at the end of the tunnel SOON!

On a differend note everyone.. well not everyone most.. where doing the V-Log and I wanted to join in on all the fun! It was a long day and I was so tired.. but I hope you enjoy!

Get To Know Me Monday!

My husband is gone once again.

Although I know he is safely a few states away on a TDY.

It is always hard for me to see him walk out the door and know he won't be in bed when night comes.

You would think it would get easy I have been through a number of TDY's and a Deployment.

I am a pro at packing him up..but my flaw is letting him go...(SIGH)

I don't think it will ever get easy. I will say it does once he is out the door and calls to say he is there.

On a different note get to know me a little!

1. If you could host a Reality TV show, which one would it be?

* Hmm I love reality tv.. but I would not want to HOST I would want to be a Bravo housewive! Ha!

2. Do you put your seatbelt on before or after you start the car?

* After.. I know I know HORRIBLE!

3. Shave or hair removal cream?

* I don't use either.. I know I know.. but I just shave with water.

4. What's your favorite feature in a house?

* I would have to say.. Bathroom, and Masterbedroom. 

5. What is your favorite "Fall" scent?

* Oh there are so many.. I am a candle junkie I would have to say Apple Cider!

6. What tv show are you looking forward to seeing the most this Fall??

* Not show more like Football Season!

*Personal shopper.. you know the deals you can find!

8. What is the first word that comes to mind when you think of "Fall"?

* Hot Apple Cider, and Sweaters!

1. Are you a neat sleeper or a messy sleeper?

*Whoo Wee.. Messy Sleeper ME! We have a king size bed and I am in Love. After my husband deployed for 4 months I got used to sleeping everywhere.. SO I DO.. STILL!

* Hmm.. Can I Pass... LOL!

3. What is something that you wish you had been warned about?

*Being an adult.. Its hard work sometimes.. hehe!

4. What was the best thing you ever found at a garage sale/flea market?

*Ha! I LOVE GARAGE SALES AND FLEA MARKETS!

I have gotten a number of bargins.

5. If you could have any meal brought to you right now, what would it be?

*My husband and I have a Garlic and Wine Chicken with White Rice.. that we call comfort food..

I could use some right now.. since we have been away from home for a while..
