Place it all in his hands..

To my soul that is heavy today....
Give it all to the Lord, for he is the only one who can heal you.

I am having such an off day... a day where I woke up with a heavy heart. I am blessed overly blessed but I have moments like everyone else where I just feel defeated.

I am missing home. I am missing my dad.. and I am missing my husband.

The three things that tend to complete me... along with a whole list of other things. However those three things give me strength.

Today my husband called me in the AM and for the first time in a long time I saw his tired eyes. I saw his pain from being away from home and I just cried.
As tired as he is .. I am .. and are wear is only showing on our faces.

I am giving all my pain for today to the lord and I am asking him to heal my family from our tiredness.

Presidents Day !

Thank you to the Presidents of the past, future and present for giving me this day off... Hehe

Today started off earlier with taking the Flex to get an oil change! Than a small breakfast trip with a skinny latte and headed home to wait on the car and tuck May in for a Nap!

That breakfast was to die for.. with Maple Bacon!

With the weekend being a little longer than normal I decided this weekend was the weekend I would DIY! It started Saturday morning and I worked my way through nap times everyday until the projects were completed!

I am happy with the finished products and I am sure May will be as well since she will be the user of the two items!

I find that there is so much meaning to DIY pieces and I think they will hold up a lot longer with the fresh coats of paint.

I am now ending my night with some reading and bible studying. Lately they are the two things that seem to relax me before bed.

24 Days With Advocare!

I decided with a group of ladies to take the plunge and do the Advocare 24 Day Challenge!
It was the help of a friend stationed in Guam who told be about the amazing things I was capable of accomplishing with a little guidance in the health department.

So Feb. 7th marked my calendar ordered my items with the goal in mind of losing 10 lbs! I surpassed that and managed 13lbs.

My main goals were to feel healthy, happy and have the endurance I needed to pass my assessments and get ready for the 2015 derby season.

I can tell you it was HARD, it was WORK and I was tired at times... BUT I MADE IT.. and I am still working at it with the goal in mind to lose a full 20lbs. by the time Mike gets home. Losing 20 lbs will place me at the weight I had worked so hard to be at before I found out I was pregnant with my amazing May.

Things I have CHANGED for the better:

1. Drinking 100oz of water a day.
2. Meal Prepping with the FAB Lauren. It is because of her life gets easy during the busy weeks because our food is already made.
3. Texting ShortFuze my derby TATA. She and I can lift one another up with a single text.
4. No for real. I dropped most caffeine, sugar, white rice and pasta. They are all my weakness. I have them now in moderation but told myself not much until I lose the 20 :)
5. READ EVERYTHING YOU EAT! I try to read labels more when eating!

Favorite Advocare Items:

-Spark
-Meal Replacements.
-Catalyst

Now a few pictures from the time I was away ...

I have vowed to myself that I will never go back to looking like this again ...

New Year New Post

Happy 2015!
This is my first post of 2015 and let's just say we are 11 days in and I am feeling powerful!
The New Year was rang in with an amazing group of people who hold dear to my heart.
We celebrated with music... silliness... and a visitor from TEXAS my sweet HOLLY!!

This is May and I's second New Year without the Mr. I sent him off with an open at midnight box in a care package with a little Hersey Kiss ;)

I know many say making resolutions are not needed but I feel like it's a new year ... and the start ... The start for me of getting healthy, praying to the lord, being organized and giving to those who need the lifting around me.

May we all find strength to be the difference in 2015!
