Happy Father's Day// Change!

I am sneaking this post in a little out of order because yesterday was Father's Day! I find it very hard to deal with Father's Day... Shortly after my dad's passing away I was forced to wait tables on a Father's day...*sigh*/ the image of all those happy dad's with their kids brought back flashbacks of being with my dad and reminded me of what I was missing out on at the moment. Which made for a horrible moment and a few tears while waiting on tables of FAMILIES!

Yesterday, I noticed Facebook post with pictures and ect. I liked each and every post to show respect for the people who have their father. I on the other hand.. thought about a few moments with my dad and than looked over to my husband and realized that from this day forward it was probably up to me in order to make HIS FATHERS DAY.. the best day every. So I find myself making change for this day. I am thankful to have had my dad and for him to be the most amazing dad in the world. I am thankful that I am still able to see him in pictures and feel him around me during certain moments in my life. It truly is never easy to lose the first man of your dreams... your dad! It truly is harder to be miles and miles away from his final resting place.

Bubble Bath- LOVE!

In our tiny apartment a BUBBLE BATH was never an option and if it was.. it was the most tiny uncomfortable thing ever. We had these two glass sliding doors that made everything about a bath feel like you were stuck in a hot box.
When we puchased our lovely home in December of 2011 we had a master room with a master bath! AHHH help me .. it was the most amazing thing ever and the tub was HUGE!
I found myself many times after a long day of work or with the stress of life taking a bath with a book and a cold drink. Sometimes it was with no lights and a few candles. RELAXATION!
During this pregnancy I find myself achey and tired often....
1st Trimester- Growing Pains
2nd Trimester- Tired/Back Pain
3rd Trimester- Achey everywhere due to growing.
and many times I often come home to my husband already having a bath ran for me and ice cold water by the tub. He often just sits off to the side and we have a converstation about the day, life, work, up coming events and ect. It truly is a blessing to relax ... there are often times where he just lets me be in my own world of relaxation.

I grew up with a hot bath.. the shower was in the basement of my parents house and we often had to hurry up or the hot water would run out! haha There were 3 kids and 2 adults in this house. In the winter time in Michigan a shower was not an option in 11 degree and below weather it was just far to cold. So we often resorted to a bath... I think that is where my love for a hot bath with bath salt and bubbles comes from.. I find that it cures my soul of  what I have no control over and the stress that life sometimes gives.. it has been my idea of finding piece for sometime.

I am just on the hunt for the most perfect BUBBLE BATH.. I never seem to get enough bubbles!! They often float for a moment and than are gone in the middle of my bath.

Making Strides: Think Pink!

I am a SURVIVOR!

I say it loud and proud.. with the help and the awesome support of my family and friends I MAKE IT!

The month of Oct. is Breast Cancer Awareness month. The Heimes' "Think Pink" in a number of different ways and with a number of different friends and family. The month started with my mom and sister who traditionally send out a box filled with all things pink. I am thankful and excited to get a box every year from Michigan from them. I also got a cute little gift from two little ones at the school that I teach at... it was a note pad and tons of candy.. yummy!

On second week of Oct. my girl Holly and I got dressed to Zumba the night away. We were dancing and breaking a sweat for a cause. Mind you it was from 6-9 so we got tired nearing the last 20 min. however we did it and had tons of laughs. Mike came out to support us and get us anything that we needed for the night. He sat in his lawn chair and DRANK ha.. but HEY he was out there with us.

The last week we woke up early and drove to a Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk. It was COLD but we bared all and made it through the 5k. Which took place right along the water... I walked with the group M.Creu (where I Zumba), my "Florida Mom" and Mike! We started off my warming up with the Creu who did an awesome. We had a blast.. although it was cold.

Lastly my husband is amazing and so supportive in everything that takes place in my little life. I truly am thankful for him and all he does. He has a tradition where ever-year he gets me a SURVIVOR gift and this year it happen to be a few thinks that truly are special to me.

Mind me it was a long day of work and I needed to shower before I opened my gift.

I truly am thankful and blessed to have so many awesome people within my life. They help make my life what it is today AMAZING!

Happy Birthday ...

October, 17 is my dad's birthday..

The pain still sits..of how much I miss that man and all he did for my family and I. Today I took my lunch break and felt like a fool crying in a McDonald's eating a happy meal and telling my husband that it is just not fair... He has been gone since 2007 and you would think it would become easyer to deal with the pain of losing a parent but it is not. The pain becomes more real on certain dates... when I am 1000's of miles away from my father's stone and my family who are tending to dinner in honor of him. Today I went to work and was an awe... as I listened to my ten children talk about their daddy's and how much they loved the little things that they did for them. I remember my dad for his smile for the moments he would tell me that he loved me...because I MADE HIM A DAD! I will never forget his HOPE for me.. his dreams for me to have a education and to always strive for so much more in life. I will remember him for rubbing my back, clearing away my tears and always telling me he loved me.
As I sit here with a glass of wine and tears running down my cheeks.. I understand that no matter how hard this journey gets with him being gone.. I will always have the little things to remember him... I will always understand that he is always watching over me and guiding me.

I truly am blessed to have a father in my life.. and one who CARED enough to show me the true meaning of living life!

Dec.7...

Yes I know it was the start of Pear Harbor.. and that was life changing for many..
but today marks something different 3 years of having my father passed away!
I am sad and happy... my day was spend filled with laughs, tears, and memories..
I took today off and so did my husband and we just relaxed... I wanted to dig deep to feel my father.. and today I think I did.. We went shopping, watched a movie.. ate an awesome breakfast and mini lunch and came home to relax! I will always remember my father for all he has done for my family and I .. and for the open arms he has always had to catch me!

Love You Dad!!!

A Sunday To Remember..

Oct. 17.2010

Today is my father's birthday!
Happy Birthday Dad!
My dad passed away in 2007 .. and he was the most important person in my life. Everyday I think about how much I am like him and how much he has instilled within me. He has always been there and still is always there ..

I had class all afternoon.. and when I came home.. I had a surprise waiting for me!
I have a pretty amazing husband!
A little cake for my dad's birthday and my dad's watch re-sized for me to wear! :)

I know my dad is always watching over me and my family! I remember all the good time I have had with him and shared with him! I remember because I know there are many people in my life time that will never ever see there fathers!

I hope you all had a great weekend Monday is around the corner!

My Mind Is Over-whelmed..

I am sure once..life is in order.. I will post on other days then the weekend.
This week was FULL!
Although it was a four day week.. it did tend to feel longer.
I worked a few days teaching. I met a friend for lunch at Olive Garden. Now on to my last two things for the week....
First.. I have been in and out of the doctors for a few months for some issues with bleeding while using the restroom. Mike and I were naturally thinking that it could be something harmful to my body.. and after results from test and a few other uncomfortable things... I ending up having Ulcerative Colistis. Well.. what it is... your probly wondering like I was.. its a disease you get genetically. If not monitored it turns into a form of Colon Cancer. It causes you to not eat properly or digest food the right way. I was sent on base and they did a wonderful job helping me! I was given a few different types of medication.. that I will be taking for a long period of time. It is something that will never go away but with the proper check ups and medication I can get it all on track. So .. here is my support ribbion for it! I am going to live with this..with a smile.. and not let it get to me!
and .. Last..
My lovely brother of 18 years.. bought me a ticket to go home to MICHIGAN.. for my birthday! Although my birthday was May 31.. ha ha! I am headed home for July 15-29th! Yay! Why.. now you ask.. well for this!
My father softball tournament! Since my dad passed away on Dec.7.07.. we have thrown a softball tournament to help raise money to pay off the furneral arangements and medical bills. My dads favorite sport was softball.. and we are pretty big players ourselfs.. which makes me feel honored on the 17 of July to see everyone playing ball in honor of my father Saul Anaya Jr.!
I am also excited to see family and friends.
I will be leaving my airman.. home .. due to him not being able to get leave until Aug. Its kind of different for me to leave him.. because I am alway used to him being the one leaving me for military obligations.

On a high note! I have been a cleaning and organizing machine because this trip is less then a week away!
You all have a safe and good weekend!
