Outlaw Platoon!

I was recently contacted to review OUTLAW PLATOON book. When doing background research while I was waiting for my copy to arrive in the mail I found a number of different news pieces on this amazing story. Room Mom 101 !

Alright I am NO MOM!

However I feel like one Monday-Friday.. where I spend most of my hours in a classroom with 10 children who make me strive for so much more. I get to see their little minds grow with curiosity and eagerness to learn. I feed them, read to them, and put them down for a nap as if they were my own. At the end of the day I head home to a husband who listen to my long day.

I love spending my time creating for my classroom and I am in love with this blog that gives me ideas and helps me grow as a teacher.

A few weeks back I wrote to the owner of the blog sharing some of my ideas! She messaged me back and I was on cloud 9 because I was featured on ROOM MOM 101!

Scentsy Addiction!

I have a slight addiction to Scentsy. Lets just say I have a two bedroom apartment with a living area and kitchen. I happen to have six warmers going at all times! Yikes! haha!

However my place does smell amazing!

Recently I purchased these..

I paid $3.00 for them. They are designed to help to clean out your warmers easy and mess free! Well lets just say they did not work to well for me! I was way sad because I thought that I would be able to use my wax again and I could not with these tabs. Plus the tab came out without any of the wax on it making for a HUGE mess!

So here is a trick! My mom makes candles for a company called "Lakeshore Candle Company". When I went home on vacation in July I opened her freezer and found tons of candle votives. I asked her why they were in the freezer and she said she was cleaning out the wax. SURPRISE! I came home and tried it on my Scentsy Warmers and TA DA! They came right out and were mess free. Now all you have to do it pop the top half in the freezer for about a hour or so.. and then it will pop right out and you just wipe it clean!

My husband and I recently opened out account to have him record himself reading childrens stories. Being military one day we will have a child and he will be overseas or TDY and with this site he is able to read the stories and allow our child to follow along.

Well it started very young thanks to my parents. I have been blessed to walk on Elvis's own Graceland and sign my name on his wall! I have really been there twice and both times it was amazing!

Christmas Cards!

Oh what a task! 

I had over 120 to send out and that meant 120 address to get in order! 

and there are all the cards laying out to be labeled!

I used the computer to print out labels which made it was easier then writing them all out!

I purchased my cards with VISTAPRINT! If you have not heard of them search it 100 postcards that I decorated for $7.99 and they printed out our address on the top of each one which was less work for me. I love them I used them last year for my cards and I was impressed. 

They are simple and cute! 

Now my rant.. will they STOP raising the price of postage... I paid almost $50.00 to mail them all out! A bridie at the post office told me on Jan. 15. 2011 they will be raising the prices once again! GRRR

A Movie.. and A Movie

I know I know.. Life gets busy for us..in the last year and a half we have been to zero movies!

WHAT!!!

Yes.. that's right zero.. we are always to tired and that's horrible.. but this week was a blessing we went to not one.. but TWO!!! haha! BEAT THAT!

They both were really good and different ..

One way funny .. one way romantic and mysterious.. all in all.. I dunno if I loved them both because I have not been to the movies in so long.. or because they both were really good!

I was honored with a Necklace that is for sale for the ladies who helped within the war. My husband was recently deployed and it was a eye-opener for me, to be honored by this company was amazing! I was finally getting noticed for all my hard work in being a spouse within the military. Many often think that it is the husband who is the one in the military not the wife or the family.. but I believe that behind every soldier is a family who helps keep him together!

There are a few pictures.. everything that came with my necklace was certificated. I was also given history of the company and a little on my coin!

My Life..

Is being consumed by HOMEWORK.. and 

Netflix.. the best 10$ I spend a month to watch it instant on my X-Box. I have recently been re-addicted to this show..

I watched a few season last year around this time.. and I am now back into the game again since Season 4 was posted on Netflix. 

My husband has been working Swings 2-11 and I get out of work at 5:30 so I always have time to sit and watch this show while I am working on my homework.

On a different note! YAY I ordered some smelly yummy Candles, and I am excited to get my order in for the Holidays!

Last year around this time.. we were blessed with a FREE DEPLOYMENT PHOTOSHOOT!

The photos were amazing.. every year my husband and I have had someone amazing to take pictures of us. 

This year an awesome wife from my husband shop gladly took our photos on the beach!

We are in love with them.. 

Now.. a quick little note... We are Packers FAN!!! I was proposed to at their field, hence my love for the Packers. My husband on the other hand was born and raised a Packer fan!
